Refund Policy
We want you to be happy with your book. This policy explains when a refund applies and how to ask for one.

Overview
ABP House provides publishing services that are carried out in stages, such as editing, cover design, formatting and distribution. Your written quote sets out the stages and the price for your project. This policy sits alongside that quote and our Terms and Conditions.
Before work begins
If you change your mind before we have started any work on your project, you can ask for a refund of the amount you have paid.
Once work is under way
If you cancel after work has started, you can ask for a refund of the stages we have not yet begun. Stages that are in progress or completed, and any third-party costs already paid on your behalf (for example ISBN registration, printing or advertising spend), are not refundable.
Approved and delivered work
Each stage is sent to you for approval. Once you have approved a stage, or the final files have been delivered or published, that work is not refundable. If something is not right, tell us and we will revise it in line with your quote.
If we get it wrong
If we fail to deliver a service described in your quote, or deliver it with a major fault that we cannot fix within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a refund for that service.
Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy limits those rights. For a major failure with a service you are entitled to cancel and receive a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.
How to request a refund
Email us with your name, your project and the reason for your request. We will reply within two business days and tell you what happens next.
How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are paid back to the original payment method. Banks and card providers can take several business days to show the refund in your account.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version on this page applies to quotes accepted after the date shown above.
